The K-Select coffee machine is compatible with the My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filter. You can use this accessory to brew your own coffee in the KSelect coffee machine as if you were using a K-Cup pod.

The Keurig K-Select brewer uses these Charcoal Water Filter Cartridges. These charcoal filters are designed to be installed inside a water filter holder, which is placed inside the K Select’s side water tank reservoir. Be sure to change your water filter about every 2 months.

Keurig K-Select vs. K-Classic K55 Brewer Differences

The difference between the Keurig K-Select (K80) and the K-Classic (K55) brewer is that the K-Select brewer has a slightly larger water tank reservoir (52 ounces versus 48). It also allows for brewing 4 cup sizes (6, 8, 10, and 12 ounces as opposed to just 6, 8, and 10 ounces for the K-Classic model). The K-Select (K80) coffee machine also allows for Strength Control, whereas the K-Classic K55 version does not.

Is the Keurig K-Select Coffee Maker a 2.0 Brewer?

The KSelect brewer model allows you to brew any kind of single-serve coffee pod. You are not limited to only using certain licensed K-cups. This is a newer model without the DRM feature, and therefore you are free to use any standard sized K-cup or third-party single-serve pod.
